We are currently seeking to add capacity to our Project Management/Engineering Teams.  We are looking for results-oriented, innovative, challenge-seeking, and highly organized team players.  The successful candidate will have a growth mindset as shown through their curiosity, enthusiasm, humility, and resourcefulness; demonstrate perseverance and grit to see projects to fruition; and a have a strong passion for continuous learning.

Mechanical Engineers are hired as Project Managers to manage pre-production projects, through the design for manufacturing, to full scale production.  

Detailed responsibilities include:

  • Management of Global Customer programs ranging in size from $10K -> $1MM in annual sales
  • Feasibility review for manufacturing modifications to meet aesthetic & performance specifications
  • Process flow design
  • Vendor selection and negotiations
  • Product costing
  • Oversee program tooling kick off, pre-production development, component qualification, and production ramp
  • Daily collaboration with US & China based colleagues and Customers to maintain alignment and to support program completion

Candidate qualifications include:

  • B.S. degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Industrial, Manufacturing)
  • 0 to 6 years of experience as a mechanical/process/quality/manufacturing engineer, including prior co-op and internship experience
  • Working knowledge of ProE/AutoCad software
  • Strong organizational skills to manage  multiple projects to their timely conclusion; ability to function with various teams and departments including sales, marketing and accounting; strategic thinking; and an ability to visualize and achieve results
  • Annual travel to LaFrance’s production facilities in China
  • US citizenship or PERM status

We are currently seeking to add capacity to our IT Team in support of our digital transformation. LaFrance seeks an eager professional who is results-oriented, challenge-seeking, and a highly organized team player. The successful candidate will have a growth mindset as shown through their curiosity, enthusiasm, and resourcefulness; demonstrates perseverance and a has a strong passion for continuous learning.

In this position, you will join a growing IT Team and provide a variety of services. Along with being the on-site eyes and hands of the IT department, you will address user support requests escalated from the help desk, prepare equipment for new hires, maintain IT inventory, help manage IT software, assist with projects, and perform routine administrator tasks. Remote work will be available on occasion, however the ability to be on-site with short notice is required.

Detailed responsibilities include:

  • Employee on-boarding/off-boarding
  • Providing escalated user support (tier 2 troubleshooting, and when in-person support is required)
  • Deploying/replacing Windows PCs
  • Maintaining IT equipment and inventory, including scheduling repairs, tracking devices, and ensuring sufficient supplies
  • Utilizing central management platforms to remotely install software
  • Assisting admins with ongoing IT projects and maintenance needs

Candidate qualifications include:

  • 5+ combined years of enthusiastic remote and in-person user support
  • Ability to follow SOPs is critical (creating SOPs is a plus)
  • Strong Windows 10 and Microsoft Office troubleshooting skills
  • Proven experience imaging, provisioning, and managing PCs using tools such as SCCM, Altiris, and PDQ
  • Experience maintaining enterprise PCs such as Dell Latitude or HP EliteBook
  • Experience onboarding and offboarding employees (accounts, equipment, training)
  • Experience tracking and managing IT hardware and software inventory
  • Experience managing accounts and group memberships in systems such as Active Directory/Group Policy, Microsoft 365/Azure AD, and cloud VOIP
  • Experience supporting iOS/Android devices in a corporate environment (MDM experience is a plus)
  • Capable of troubleshooting A/V and conference room equipment
  • Foundational understanding of network concepts such as DNS, DHCP, domain controllers, and firewalls
  • Familiar with Microsoft 365 and Azure AD
  • Familiar with Windows Server
