LaFrance is proud to announce that our new Vietnam manufacturing facility is fully operational, marking an important milestone in the continued expansion of our global manufacturing footprint.
Over the past year, many of our customers and partners have followed the progress of this expansion through regular updates. The facility officially opened on September 12, 2025, marking the successful completion of that journey—from concept to execution—in a remarkably efficient timeframe.
Founded in 1946, LaFrance has spent nearly eight decades supporting brands across more than 20 industries. As global markets evolve and customer expectations continue to rise, we remain focused on investing in manufacturing capabilities that deliver scale, consistency, and long-term reliability. The launch of our Vietnam operation reflects that commitment and strengthens our ability to support customers worldwide.
From site selection in September 2024 to full operational status in September 2025, the Vietnam facility was brought online in just one year. This accelerated timeline was made possible by leveraging proven infrastructure, equipment, and manufacturing processes from our established China operation. By intentionally replicating systems and workflows, we ensured continuity in quality, performance, and output from the very beginning.
The 71,000-square-foot facility was designed to meet the same rigorous standards found across LaFrance operations globally. It incorporates automated and semi-automated manufacturing processes, advanced fire prevention systems, environmental treatment systems that exceed regulatory requirements, and a controlled clean room environment—supporting efficient, repeatable production with a high level of precision.
Initial manufacturing capabilities span aluminum and stainless steel processing, surface finishing, and finished part assemblies. Automated and semi-automated processes throughout production support efficiency, consistency, and the precision required for premium on-product branding and functional components.
The Vietnam facility has successfully passed customs audits related to security and compliance and is progressing through internationally recognized quality and environmental certification processes. Oversight of the expansion is led by LaFrance’s Asia Operations leadership, with direct support from our experienced China Operations Management Team, alongside continued investment in building local operational leadership in Vietnam.
This expansion enhances LaFrance’s ability to deliver increased capacity, geographic flexibility, and supply chain resilience—while maintaining the consistency and quality our customers expect. Vietnam represents an important next step in LaFrance’s global manufacturing strategy, and we look forward to building on this momentum in the years ahead.
